The Java disassembler, javap, prints out information about a class. The document generator, javadoc, is capable of generating an HTML file from a Java source-code file. The profiling tool, javaprof, which formats the performance data created if the programmer uses the -prof option in the Java interpreter to obtain statistics on run time and performance. The results of Java programming are very exciting, but we have to remember that it is fairly new. The potential for Java is so enormous in terms of its impact on the overall computing path that you would have to be illiterate to ignore it.

Dynamic HTML is a crucial part for Web content developers. It contains complete reference material for all of the HTML tags, CSS style attributes, browser document objects, and JavaScript objects supported by the various standards and the latest versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Dynamic HTML isn't a drastic departure from the version of HTML that's currently awaiting approval by the World Wide Web Association. If it were, we would be looking at all kinds of problems when different browsers accessed pages that exploited its features. Much of the outward appearance of the Netscape Communicator browser remains very familiar. However, a lot of the structure of both the page and the browser has been exposed to the HTML author for the first time. This allows some very exciting new effects to be achieved. Dynamic HTML in communicator provides several new features today. Cascading Style Sheets give the developer a lot more control over the positioning and format of elements on a page. They also provide hooks to the page elements from scripting code.
