Beneath the Veil

The documentary, "Beneath the veil" is about exposing how the Taliban have basically excluded women from pretty much every activity apart from being a house slave in Afghanistan.
From their rise to power in 1996 the Taliban have been taking the Muslim/Islamic Religion to the extreme originally they only started with approximately one quarter of Afghanistan but before their fall from power in November 2001 they had taken control of most of Afghanistan, driving innocent people out of their homes, killing civilians including women and children and enforcing strict rules such as a woman must never leave the house without a close male relative as well as other things.
Beneath the veil was about a woman infiltrating the workings of the Taliban and their strict rules during their reign, showing how women have been excluded by society.
But it did not only show this, it showed how the Taliban executed civilians in a public soccer field originally made for the Afghanistan public enjoyment that has now been converted into a execution ground. The women where executed at the penalty line in front of the goal and executed with one shot while the men where hung off the goalposts.
The documentary also showed some of the public forming a resistance to Taliban control, defending towns that had not yet fallen to tae control of the Taliban even driving them out of control of some towns. Even though the resistance was able to hold some of the towns from the Taliban it could not hold them all.
             My Opinion.
My opinion on this is as follows:.
The Taliban should not have been able to rise to such power where they could just stop people from being a part of society for being black or white, male or female or based on their background.
They should have been removed from power long before the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, but one of the main reasons for the Taliban's fall from power is because of this.
