It is time for everyone to get involved to decrease the number of death from gun violence by organize effective Anti-gun right organizations. In order to achieve the goal, The organizations must be affective and strong to influence legislature to change gun laws.
Developing Anti-gun Right Trganization.
Developing or combining Anti-gun right organizations will be the important first step to establishing restricted gun policy. There are many anti-gun right organizations in the society, but their power is not comparable to fight against the NRA (National Rifle Association) which has more than 4.2 million members. "In the year 2000,the NRA was involved in 275 campaigns for the U.S house and senate, winning in 237 of those races and achieved an 82% success rate in those elections. The NRA also played an important role in helping George W. Bush and Dick Cheney win the White House by activating gun owners in crucial states such as Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia and, of course, Florida" (NRA Election Activity In 2000 6). Supporting the government and accomplishing successful election results were beneficial for NRA to gain authority to keep their position on gun control. Therefore we need to develop an effective anti-gun right organization that would be able to enter into rivalry with authority of the NRA. The anti-gun right organization also requires looking for possible government support. There is chance to obtain support from the Democratic Party for an organization since the Democratic Party represented that they are against pro-gun rights in presidential election in year 2000. Based on the result of presidential election in year 2000, it is fact that NRA played an important role and effected republican candidate to succeed in presidential election. People need to develop powerful and effective Anti-gun right organization. It would be able to support votes for governor or president who believes anti-gun right just like action of the NRA in presidential election in 2000.
