Online Recruiting: The Wave Of The Future?

According to an article in Fortune magazine, "For Sale Online: You,"" a study conducted by iLogos.com reports that the Internet takes at least 20 days off of a company's hiring process. In addition, there are many reports revealing that there is an abundant number of people visiting Web sites that offer online services of job posting for employers and resume posting for job seekers.
This traffic report conducted by the Recruiters Network found that there are literally millions of people visiting Web sites to search for jobs online (See Table 1). The increase in these types of Web sites alone is evidence that people are using and benefiting from these online job services. In fact, statistics reveal that a high 77% of Internet users who are looking for a job use the Internet to do so (Internet Recruiting Stats). As a result, many companies are changing their strategy to include the new methods the Internet offers such as creating corporate Web sites and using employment Web sites to post jobs. These methods not only keep companies up-to-date with new technology, but they also save them time by streamlining the hiring process. .
