Death Penalty

            Brian Bode Death Penalty.
If the government executes murderers and there is in fact no deterrent effect the government has killed a lot of murderers. IF the government fails to execute murderers and in doing so would, in fact, have deferred other murderers. The government will be allowing the killing of innocent victims. Performing the death penalty has two sides. Some people are pro death penalty and some are opposed to . Both sides have a reasonable stand point. .
Even though the death penalty and life in prison seem very opposite they do in fact have some similarities. For one the death penalty and life in prison are both extreme punishment. The crimes committed to receive the death penalty are usually the same or equal to the ones that result to life in prison. These are specific crimes that result in a person's death. Such crimes include armed robbery, hijacking, and kidnapping. Both punishments also may seem cruel and unfair to certain people. Isn't life in prison without parole just like killing them? They are also alike in that the punishments seem equal. Life in prison seems about just as bad as death.
Life in prison is much more expensive than the death penalty. Life in prison has many costly fees such as food, living cells, electricity, bathing appliances, blankets, clothes and medical needs. The death penalty is performed under one thousand dollars.
Receiving life in prison gives the convict more time to spend with his or her family. It also gives the inmate the chance to grow old and suffer in their cell until they die of something else, like natural causes, disease, murder by another inmate, or S.T.D.
Another difference in the death penalty and life in prison is your life. If you receive the death penalty there is no second chance, even if they find out your innocent. Having life in prison allows this second chance. .
