Mary Rowlandson

She was a Christian woman who was abducted by the Indians and believed that God would save her and bring her back to her family. She talks about her time among the Indians and says that they fear no one, but they never harmed her.
She was finally able to go homeand she says she cried more at getting to go home, than the whole time she was with the Indians. When she finally gets home her town is gone, there were no people and all the homes were gone. They went on to the next town and she realized that not everyone from her town was gone, that they had lived and were forced to move on. She found some of her family and her brother wanted to know where his wife was and Mary felt sorrow, because his wife had been killed and he did not know that.
She finally found her husband. They had lost one child and at this point they did not know where the other two were or if they were alive.
She was very upset about the good fortune that was bestowed on her, especially since other family and friends were still missing. She believed that she was not worthy of being saved when so many others were still in trouble.
She found her son and daughter and the governor sent for her daughter, because the Indians were headed the way they had to go and it was to dangerous to risk. She never let her faith go. She always believed God would lead her back to her family and friends, if it was not for her faith she would not of survived. She always talked about her children and worried about their safety.
