Today, Automobiles have advanced so much in such little time. GM, or General Motors, has had a rash of new, impressive technology, such as plus brakes and an accelerator that work electronically instead of via pressure from the driver's foot. To top that off, you can even hand the controls to the passenger seat if the driver is tired of driving. There is far more a possibility of new advancements and improvements for the future of cars, and the sky's the limit.
It is an assumption made from automobiles experts around the world that there is more automobile advancement activity in the past two years then ever. A new era of cars is just over the horizon. A handful of advancements are being changed or being planned to changed for the future. Car keys will soon be replaced by credit-card style systems already used in some Cadillacs, Infinitis, and BMWs. Keyless entry is set to debut on some 40 different cars over the next three years. Navigation systems that use global satellite positioning, or simply G.S.P, will soon be in every car. Cars will have a Wi-Fi hookup that automatically provides the weather, news, and other information. Also, within the next 15 years, the average vehicle will be equipped with 10 to 15 cameras to help parents keep an eye on their kids and help drivers detect blinds spots, Siemens' Gautier, a car expert, predicts. If that's not enough, other programming will be placed in the brain of the car to help steer, turn, and make it driving easier for the driver. Voice commands, DVD players, and of course a 40 Volt electric system to run all these gizmos. Wow, and if that still doesn't impress you, Chris Gerdes, a professor of mechanical engineering at Stanford University visions customizable cars in the next 20 years.
Amazing technologies are already here or soon coming to promise a new automotive era. Pioneers such as GM motors have given a new light that shine upon the bright future.
