The Myth Of The American Dream

What exactly is the Myth of the American Dream is it that everyone is created equal, is it that everyone is rich, or is it none of the above. I believe that in all fairness the American Dream is what you make of it and what you want it to be the dream is not a must it is a Life style. That no one can take from you it is not what you make of the American dream it is what you do to get to the top of the chain an are able to say what it means to be in the American dream. .
We choose to label those who have no choice but to live there lives as outsiders, and cast them as bastards . People with no hope for the future and no chance at living a wealthy life in Americas society. Tend to work harder and begin casting the ultimate goal in which is living the American Dream earlier in the stages of there life then those who were born into a great household to start. As American citizens we must first realize that not every- one is given them same opportunity to succeed and not everyone is given the same chance as others to be successful .311-2.

I personally disagrre with horatio alger. As we become stronger as a nation we must help everyone to realize that there are always ways of overcoming barriers in Americas society, and that in all reality one of the ways is by not conveying with in the myth of Hortario Alger. Although I would like to think that everyone is given the same opportunity to succeed it is rightfully true that the black folk have been "favored, disfavored, scrutinized and ignored". All in the favor of our race. For example a man by the name of Stephen Carter wrote about what he calls "The best black syndrome" as well as a judicial Clerkship recommendation for a colleague of his. Inside it includes successful information on how white people tend to characterize blacks as "them" and not consider us to be in the same equality level as everyone else.
