The Ugly Duckling

The story of the ugly duckling is about a little ugly duck that was rejected by all the animals that lived with him. Even the animals that he thought were his family. He was rejected for the only reason, that he was big and ugly. The ugly duckling also suffered from the fact that he did not know where he came from. After reading this story, it makes me think that how we express our feelings can affect other people's life.
The Ugly Duckling deals with misery, mistreat, and privations. When he was born neither of his family nor the animals that lived with him liked him because he born big and ugly. He was despised for his appearance. This is a good example, that looks its not everything, and that we have to see what is inside before judging someone or something. The poor duckling was driven about by everyone; even his brothers and sisters were unkind to him, and would say " Ah, you ugly creature, I wish the cat would get you," and his mother said she wished he had never been born. The ducks pecked him, the chickens beat him, and the girl who fed the poultry kicked him with her feet. The poor little duck suffered from being physically and verbally abused by all the animals on the farm, and also for the person who fed him; for that reason, he decided to run away. He thought that in some other place, the animals might no being as mean as the animals that live in the farm. This makes me reflect that is better if we analyze what we are going to say before we hurt someone else's feelings, or worst to cause a tragedy. For Illustration, there was this situation that happened in Littleton, Colorado here in U.S.A. The event occurs on April 20, 1999. Erick Harris, 18 years old, was a student of Columbine High School. He caused a tragedy at this High School because he felt rejected by his classmates. Erick was tired of being teased by his classmates; due to the fact, that they used to call him names, and they used to make fun of his appearance.
