Signature Killers

This is what makes a murder different from one another. For example, in the South Park Marina murder a woman beaten, strangled and raped was left in a position on her back with her legs spread open showing her vagina. The killer performed another murder of Iantha Buchanan who was also found in a position with her legs spread open but on her backside. The only difference was position but the signature was revealing the women's vagina as well as inserting objects into their orifice. The MO of these murders happen to be different but of the same nature in attack and signature. Detectives tend to be thrown off their trail when the victim is in a different position or is of a different race and color. Keppel has set a new standard that the killers want you to believe this. They want you to believe maybe there was more than one murderer. The author has shown that you have to ignore the obvious and look for a different fact pattern like looking for the unusual or the signature. It is determined that different killers leave different signatures.
The discovery of a signature is revealed by something unusual about the crime scene but the killer goes out of his way in preparation for his remaining mark. Keppel says that the sites seem to be so meticulous even after a brutal act has occurred. The killer takes time in planning his kill, the position of the body, and how he can perform his ritual without leaving any evidence. .
Harvey Glatman killed women in the same fashion. It was all acted in his head before committed. He took them in the car; the thought of killing was on his mind once he faced his victim. The thrill was flowing through his veins for performing sexual intercourse and having total control of the victim dead or alive. He then drove to the desert to take photos of the trembling victim tied up and brutally beaten and raped then the final killing with a gun. He left his victims to be dead in the desert discarding all her belongings on the side of the rode keeping money, jewels, or anything he desired.
