Gattaca


            Gattaca it's not kind of future that people wants to live in, what people are looking for, to live in is a society where diseases can be cured and they can live longer and healthier, but not in a society where they have to be procreated in a test tube, where diseases or any weakness be avoided like in Gattaca society.
             People want to have the technology available to remove diseases, not to enhance looks or abilities, not to earn respect and wealth, not to be judgment on person's character instead of genes.
             We are more than the sum of our genes and we should never be slaves of our DNA.
             In Gattaca world DNA is what maps human entire life and gene has the power and the control of the society. .
             Human genome project should be used for the good of the public, instead of the good of the wealthy. We should be very cautions and restrictive on how we use these new advances or we will turn in to Gattaca's world, a world where nobody wants to live in.
             In Gattaca world, discrimination is based on genotype, not phenotype; your genes would analysis and determine where you belong in life and people did not determine position on merit but of genes. .
             People who were born genetically superior in Gattacan society, anything or any jobs were open to them But people who were born a "God child" were considered a second class citizen not many job or position were open to them. .
             In Gattacan improved society you need to have superior genes and live a great life or natural born and struggle by. There could be an intelligent person with a heart failure, such as Vincent, who has great intellectual power, but is discriminated due to genes. No matter how hard Vincent works, he is rejected by schools and then by employers. He observes, " My real resume was in my cell"; "They have discriminate down to science".
             The pressure placed on having superior genes was so overbearing that people would do anything to be part of that super race.
