The United States offers a lot of freedom to immigrants. Most immigrants from China who come to the United States are poor and are in search of jobs. The poor Chinese are limited to jobs in China so they came to America. The Chinese are the largest group of immigrants in the United States. It all started in the 1800’s during the Gold Rush. Many protests against the Chinese were held due to a lot of jobs being given to the Chinese. These immigrants come here hoping to make a lot of money. To most Chinese America represents freedom.
