Gatsby was a young officer when they first met "they were so engrossed in each other" that no one could separate them. The love they shared for one another was undeniable even back then. Jay does whatever he can to make the love of his life in good spirits. Without question they both agreed that there has never been, or never will be a dull moment for them as long as they are together. They keep each other happy and content, they are a perfect match and they finally sealed the deal. Now for one of the first times, the newly married couple Jay and Daisy Gatsby are announcing their marriage. .
Their wedding was on a yacht because Daisy's lover grew up around that water and sailing so this proved to be a perfect setting for the wedding. Daisy picked Jordan Backer to be her maid of honor and Nick Carraway to be his best man. The ceremony was "open toward the sunset" and the wind was blowing just enough to keep everyone comfortable. She was "dressed in white" and when he kissed Daisy she "blossomed for him like a flower." The ceremony, which only consisted of Daisy and Gatsby's closets friends and family, was followed by a reception and Jay's mansion that all of the guests had a wonderful time at. They had extravagant four course meals along with an open bar for everyone. There was lots of planning involved for all the rings needed for the wedding because Gatsby wanted to show off his wealth that he earned because and for the love of his life. Gatsby has a thing for hosting grand parties so their soiree went down as something to remember, not only for the amount of fun everyone had but for the passion and love that was shown through the ecstatic couple. Lots a people showed up to attend their wedding even if the guest wasn't close to the bride and groom they were still invited because Jay wanted it to be something spectacular. They spent many captivating years together before getting engaged and now finally getting married.
