b. Credibility: Because of the discrimination I have witnessed toward my future mother-in-law, who is a lesbian, I feel it is my responsibility to share with you why she and others deserve equal treatment under the law.

c. Link to Audience: If the government is allowed to discriminate based on what they feel as moral, what are their boundaries? Where are they going to stop? I certainly do not want my day-to-day life to be regulated based on governmental morale.

d. Same-Sex marriages should be legalized in the United States.
