Two characteristics of a true warrior hero that are demonstrated by Beowulf are strength and putting others before himself. When Beowulf leaves Geatland to travel to Danish lands in order to vanquish the monster that is plaguing the Danes, he selflessly puts the welfare of the Danish people ahead of his own life.
