In my ethical model, I firstly agree with Freeman’s Stakeholder theory. I agree that each group of stakeholders has the right not to be treated merely as a means to an end. The reason I think it’s not ethical for corporation just to maximize the shareholder profits is because I think that Legal Standards and Utilitarian Standard are also needed to take into consideration. As a result, the behavior of a corporation must consider the Legal Standards and Utilitarian Standard while doing business. Then I would consider that it’s ethical. Furthermore, Limited Paternalism theory, the Modified “K” theory and the Due Care View also work in my ethical model.
Firstly, I think it’s ethical to treat stakeholders well by not using them merely as a means to an end. The reason I believe Freeman’s Stakeholder theory is important is because the corporation cannot just think about its shareholders, but also the social responsibility of caring other stakeholders. However, in my ethical model there is an exception for having all of this point of view, which is balancing the interests of all stakeholders. So I’m going to cite Utilitarian Standard in my ethical model. I think it’s ethical if the behavior of a corpor

Because made more profits is one of my concerns and I attribute the low profit primarily to extremely high amounts of employee theft and customer shoplifting, theft and shoplifting that reduces profits affects my concern then are job-relevant. So implement this policy do not violate privacy. However, I will let my employees know instead of installing the hidden camera. Also if implement this policy is legal, then it reaches the Legal Standard in my ethical model. So about implementing this policy to my customers, I will not install hidden cameras in customer changing areas or I will install bar-code scanning device. So under my ethical model, it’s ethical to implement a stringent anti-theft policy and I will let my employees and customers know every act I do to them.
However, in my ethical model, providing the greatest good for the greatest number of people is not ethical enough. The corporation should also consider not breaking the law. Then it reaches my ethical standard. For example, selling piratical CD is illegal in Taiwan, although it provides the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Then it’s unethical to do so. So in my ethical model, I think to be ethical the corporation need to consider the Legal Standards.
I’m also the supporter of the Modified “K” theory and Limited Paternalism theory. The corporation must honestly disclose what it knows about the product and must not misrepresent the product’s features, functions, and risks. It also must truly comply with all express and implied contract terms. Then I would consider this corporation reaches my ethical standard. In my ethical model, I also combined this point of view with the Limited Paternalism theory. Corporation finishes its duties also by disclosing what it knows about the product and then let the buyers decide whether to buy or not. I see these two views important is because that there are too many products in the market and it’s impossible for customers to have the same level of expertise as sales. For example, the wine and cigarette companies in Taiwan, to be ethical, will have a warning slogan that excess of volume will injure the health. So in my ethical model, it’s ethical for corporation to disclose what it knows about the product and
