Basketball the game of life

            A basketball game or ball is just another tool that has all the potential to be so much for some people. For other people it is just an orange blob with black lines that bunches of people throw around and toss into a hoop. That is not so for everyone. Many young and old people see that orange blob as their future, their only hope and opportunity to change their life. That thing that is just "thrown around on the court between people" is the thing that will make or break the rest of their life. The skill and ability that they are able to build up and apply to the ball can pave the way to college and a brighter future there after. That ball is not just an orange blob but the scholarship that will lead to a better life, their golden opportunity. The bounce, bounce, bounce of the ball on pavement and every minute spent makes them one step closer to that new and better life. The lessons learned on the court are the most important that can be learned. They teach the determination and discipline that will help form the things needed to help them succeed later in life. Playing the game can teach you everything you need to know, you just have to know where to look. A pick is just another obstacle that you must get around or over in life that tries to keep you from reaching your goals. The defenders are all the people that tell you that you cannot do something but you can and do it anyway. They try to dictate who you are and where you are and want to go but you make that final decision and blow by them because you did not listen. The ball is all the hopes and dreams that wish to achieve, putting the ball away in the hoop just shows if you work hard and know what you want you can get to your goals and dreams. The other team considered the enemy by many are like the defenders the people who are not supporters no matter what you do, the people who just do not understand the drive you have to keep going no matter what tries to stop you.
