Since the dawn of time, man has looked for methods of transportation that would allow for a more leisure and luxurious transit. From ancient kings being carried by their disciples to chauffeurs escorting around the worlds richest man has looked for a more speedy and comfortable transit. The invention of the wheel has forever changed the world, by leading to the chariot; a two wheel cart towed by horses, to the late 1800’s when the automobile was invented. The basic layout of an automobile is simple; choose a wheeled vehicle from the many types like the ones that were pulled by horses or oxen add a motor and create a self-propelled, personal transportation vehicle. “The milestone vehicle was built in Germany in 1889 by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach. Towards the end of World War II, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferry had to reassemble Porsche Konstruktionsburo (factory). It was moved to Gmund, Austria, in 1945 to avoid being bombed by the allied forces of World War II. Both Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, and his son, Ferry were arrest by French authorities. They were suspected of helping the Axis. However, Ferry was released in 1946, and in 1947, Dr. Ferdinand was released as well. 1900’s, many cars were being developed and produced around the world. Some companies lasted, others failed to keep up. However, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche started to produce cars in 1948 and since then has produced some of the finest vehicles on the road. Since then, the Porsche industry has made considerable advancements over time in the areas of appearance, engine performance, and the overall popularity of sports cars.
