            Why me? That question has probably been asked, in some form or another, by every disabled individual. Being disabled can often cause a great deal of internal anger, and animosity among one's self. Many people who are physically and mentally challenge have accomplished much by their courageous actions. This proves they are not "handicapped." Confined to wheelchairs successful careers have been established. Christopher Reeves, Montel Williams, and the character in "The Case of the colorblind Painter" Jonathan I, have all experience being disable in some form, and have struggle to overcome their disability by any need necessary.
             Imagine not able to move your arms and legs forward, not being able to feed yourself, clothes yourself, or even bathe yourself. Having to have someone lift your body into a wheelchair or move you into bed. This is the reality of life of Christopher Reeves who has Paralysis. Paralysis is the loss of voluntary movement in a part of the human body. A major problem of Christopher Reeves is his limited ability to perform daily activities, and the lack of ability to get around without assistance. .
             Christopher Reeves has had several bad falls but has not given up. He began to fight back against the disease that has crippled him, and has now regained some feeling and can activate some movements in his muscle. Christopher Reeves was able to overcome his disorder by several courageous elements. He challenge himself physically for several months, he has been very successful in raising money and awareness of the needs and desires of disabled people, but most importantly, he has turned his focus away from his Paralysis and began figuring out how he can live again. .
             Montel Williams is also suffering from an illness, which is multiple Sclerosis. This is a progressive disease of the central nervous system, is caused when the body's immune system attacks the nerves and strips away the protective sheath around the nerve fibers.
