The Trip of Tibet

As bears are fond of honey, likewise am I to traveling. I have traveled at least twice a year since my early teens. Though there are many places for me to recall from my past experiences, one, which keeps a special place in my heart, is Tibet. Known as the Roof of the World, I visited this beautiful place two years ago. .
Tibet, the Mystical Land, draws numerous travelers, adventurers and scholars by its fascinating folklores, unique values and mysterious religious practice. Tibet's borders run around India, Burma, Bhutan, Sikkim, and Nepal, factors that add to the richness and popularity of Tibet. Travelers who visit would remember the majestic and grand scenery, and the mysterious and exotic religions, cultures, and the great people that belong to Tibet.
I remembered my first steps as I walked down from the airplane. As I exited the plane and looked up at the sky, the clear blue great looked like a beautiful lake. There were no clouds throughout the heavens to block out the warm light sun that was so bright that I could not open my eyes. The next thing to hit me was the air, which smelled so fresh and clean that I could not believe that such clarity ever existed before. Adding to this excitement was the thought that I was standing on top of the highest places of the world. Everything felt like a dream. .
Arriving in Tibet, everyone in my travel group felt great. We all took a shuttle bus to our hotel as we left the airport, where my room was on the second floor. After receiving my key to the room, I went up by walking the steps instead of taking the elevator. But for some strange reason, I had the sensation that my feet were heavy. When I got to my room, I felt that I just finished running 2 miles. I discovered the reason for this later on: since Tibet has an average height of 4,000 meters above sea level, the amount of oxygen in the air is considerably less than what I was used to in California.
