... not going to pleasant. I do think that although she accepts her skills and acknowledges her imperfections, she doesn't like it, pointing out a deficient, silly Muse. Clearly, not one of the better Muses created by the fairer sex of the Greeks. Bradstreet is dismissive of her own writing. This is, in my opinion, for the purpose of padding the ever so fragile ... so open with all the meek, submissive language is because she knows that she can contend with the boys. It makes me laugh; it is like she is paying lip service because deep down, she knows she's good. Let the boys have their doma...
