While arguing the "rational connection" test my colleague Ms. Tyson argued that the educative message that parliament seems to think is sent to inmates is in fact not even received. At one point many inmates were not even aware that they had lost the right ... the loss of their voting rights do not even know that they have been stripped of this right, then how is this an educative message? It seems to me to be an anti-democratic message. It almost sends the message that the government elected to power...
