             During the Jomon Period, the residents of the Japanese Islands were mainly gatherers, fishers and hunters. Jomon was named after the era's pottery.
             WHY?: This was an important starting of the Japanese Culture. Every country needs a starting point somewhere on the line and it just happened to be the Jomon Period. If the gatherers, fishers and hunters never came to the Japanese Islands then no one would know if the country was livable.

             Yayoi Period (300 BC to 300 AD).
             The Yayoi Period was where the introduction of agriculture, social classes and parts of Japan began to bond under the power of land owners. This is also where the rice culture was introduced to the Japanese Citizens. At this time a queen called Himiko (or Pimiku) ruled over Japan at that time. Many mordern ideas were brought to Japan from Korea in the Yayoi Period and iron was also introduce to the people of Japan. The Yayoi period was again named after the pottery.
             WHY?: If the Yayoi period had never been there would be no types of agriculture or social classes in Japan, this would cause the Japanese country to have no crops and other types of plants and also no religious clubs for the people of Japan to join. Most importantly this is where the rice culture was introduced to the Japanese people, if the rice culture was not introduced, then imagine in Japan all the rice disappearing. Rice is one of Japanese most eaten meals.
