             Sports have become a big part in American's pastimes throughout the years. They are rapidly growing in popularity. Football and Baseball are both sports that people enjoy but due to the nature of football, it is more appealing to fans.
             Professional Football and Baseball games are both played in huge stadiums across America. Football games statistically draw more fans than baseball games so football stadiums were built to seat a lot more people than baseball stadiums. This is because of the nature of football. When the weekend rolls around, football die-hards go as early as hours before the game and hold tailgate parties where they cook food and have contests and events. This is a football tradition. Baseball does not have this "ritual." The game of football provides more for the fans, therefore, attracting more people than the sport of baseball.
             Whether going to the game or watching on TV, football is very exciting. You never know when you are going to see a big hit, or a game winning touchdown. Baseball, too, can be exciting, but usually not until the end of the game. Baseball, unlike football, has a slow pace. There are a lot of times when the final score is 2-0, or 4-2. Fans don't like low scoring games. They like the high scoring shootouts like when a football game ends 56-49. The pace of the game of .
             football is not slow, but moves at a good rate. This makes watching a football game more exciting because unlike baseball, if you turn your head for one second, you might miss something that changes the outcome of the game.
             In sports, there is always those "fanatics" that never miss their team play. Both football and baseball have these types of fans, but they have different personalities. Baseball fanatics are die hard fans, but tend to keep to themselves because the sport has molded them to be like that. When attending a baseball game, you don't see loud, obnoxious, fans with their shirts off and chests painted.
