The Realities of Global Warming

A disaster of epic proportions is about to completely change the world, and every human being on the planet will be effected. This fast-approaching catastrophe has nothing to do with impending wars or rising tensions between countries. The oncoming disaster is global warming, and it threatens to change our world as we know it. Yes, there are skeptics, saying that the cause of global warming is a marketing creation of the political left - they believe that the evidence to back up the dangers of global warming is inconclusive. .
But excessive and damaging warming is a serious and scientifically credible reality, threatening the environment, planet earth and the future of the human race, so every effort must be made to dispel the skepticism surrounding this crisis. It's not too late to reverse the damage we've inflicted on our planet, and if proper legislatures are passed, and everyone begins to play a part in restoring our damaged planet, we may be able to save what's almost lost. .
Rumors and propaganda against the validity of global warming are rampant. A look at CNN.com headlines demonstrates the current, conflicting discussion of global warming: "Global Warming Scandal" (December 3, 2009), "Climate Head Steps Down Over E-mail Leak" (December 2, 2009), "The Distorted Global Warming Debate" (December 7, 2009), "Americans' Belief In Global Warming Sinks As Republicans Shift" (December 7, 2009), "Climate Change Threatens Life In Shishmaref, Alaska" (December 3, 2009). Recently, leaked e-mails between climate experts and scientists at a British University that appear to show scientists deliberately skewing climate change data only serves to perpetuate the skepticism about global warming. Since 1991, fossil fuel lobbyists have spent "many millions of dollars to persuade the public, the media and policy makers that global warming is a non-issue" (Gelbspan).
