Original Negative Utopia

There is nothing and no one that can help me now.
As he walked down the street, George Gray thought to himself for a few moments. .
"Why is the world shaped the way it is? Why does everything have to constantly be the same; I feel as if there is no color in my life. Everything is black, white, and gray.".
George did not know how true he was. He continued slowly pacing down Main Street, looking in the store windows as he passed by. He paused in front of one window. It had a television set, which were virtually extinct, and it was showing a family sitting around a table, with a tree in the background.
"A family," mumbled George. "A family and someone to love is all I really need in this world. It is the only thing that can change me back into a normal person.".
"BACK AWAY FROM THE STORE WINDOW SIR!".
George slowly turned around, however what was facing him was not a person, but a machine; another replacement of humanity in his society. .
             "PLEASE SHOW YOUR IDENTIFICATION.".
George reached into his shirt and pulled out his identification/tracking device that was chained around his neck. It was indestructible, irreplaceable, and deadly if you removed it; that is if you found a way through the steel by which it was connected to your skin. The second you remove your identification device, the Sentinels depart from the PureLiving Protection Agency (the PPA) and sped over to your last known location. And then they would go on a manhunt looking for you. They never stop, sleep, or eat until they find you, because they don't have to. There's no running from the government.
"NUMBER 910483EF7: GEORGE GRAY. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM THINKING IN SUCH A MANNER ABOUT FAMILY, WHICH DOES NOT EXIST. WE WILL ADD ANOTHER MARK TO YOUR IDENTIFICATION.".
If you collected two thousand marks for various indiscretions, you would be "removed" by the sentinels to a location from which you would never be heard from again.
