Anime Domination in a Student's World

With this, students tend to be distracted in their studies because of animes. Being distracted is a big problem. There are chances that students will fail their subjects. This will be the result of watching animes in the whole night and they do not even bother to study their lessons. They would have failed in exams and quizzes resulting to fail the subject and regret it for the rest of their lives. Another negative effect is that anime addiction can affect their potential behaviour problems causing them to do or follow what they have watched thinking that it will actually happen. Maybe this happening is caused by too much addiction to animes. Some students a propensity for behavioural problems get ideas from animes. An example is the anime Death Note, which features a notebook in which the protagonist can write down the name of someone he wants to die as well as he method of that persons death, has caused a number of problems in American schools. In Oklahoma in 2009, two students wrote the names of other students they did not like in a death note they made and they indicated how they like those students to die. Similar incidents occur in Virginia. The death note was not real so nothing happened.
             If there are negative effects, there are also positive effects of watching animes. One is instead of engaging with illegal drugs, they spend their time watching animes. According to Dr. Lawrence Eng, researcher with a Ph.D in Science and Technology Studies from Ressealer Polytechnic Institute, students learn to reach to others and make friends to those who share the same passion with them, like by joining a cosplay or going to some anime convention. This states that watching animes can create a students social life. When a student meets another student which loves anime, the tendency is they can be friends. They would hang out with each other and talk about animes because being with people who have the same likes or hobby you have is much easier to communicate with.
