When you are unable to do your job well at work, or not keeping your family happy, or completing your homework assignments, you will not get your desired results, you will begin to make poor decisions and your success can slip away.
Creating a list of your educational goals, short and long term and reasons for the goals will help to be successful in accomplishing them. Probably even more than what you did write down. It is something about seeing it in a visual way that sets the tone for being accountable for what you set out to accomplish and achieve with your education. The short term goal for me is just to complete my first class with an A and a long term goal is to learn new ways of reading, taking notes and utilizing these tools to be a better and more organized student. People know their weaknesses, but you can strengthen them through education and use them more efficiently in business or community activities not just in educational purposes.
When working on my Career Plan exercises my character was enterprising, social and conventional and it used these personality traits to match me with possible career options to explore. The career options were judge, accountant, director of instruction, curriculum specialist, and the managerial titles were endless. I was happy to find out that most of the career options offered there were matching degrees I could obtain at the University of Phoenix. This decision just solidified my choice of school was very well prepared and thought out. .
My strengths in the Work Competencies exercise were delivering results, organizing, researching, innovating, following instructions and coping with pressure. I think being organized, following instructions, researching and delivering results is an equation that equals success for me in college and my career. Being able always to get the job done in a professional and well organized manner will be an asset to the company's mission and financial goals making my career goal a reality.
