Making the Grade

Many students identify the gift of education differently solely because some work for their education while others do not. Those who work to pay for their tuition are more likely to thrive in both college and life, while those who do not are less likely to. Education is a necessity in today's society and many high school seniors stress simply over the reality of tuition rather than the actual benefits of a college degree. Those who work hard in order to pay for their tuition acquire many different traits that will benefit them as both a student and a person. .
A student who juggles both college courses and work are guaranteed to be under a lot of stress, however this could benefit them. Because a student who spends much of their time working hard to pay their college when they could be doing other leisure activities, they will have no choice but to have their priorities straight. If this student does not succeed and, let's say, makes a D in a class he/she will feel a heavy load of regret. Because they would want to make the best of their hard earned buck with good grades, they would trade up partying for staying in and studying. The student will grow extremely responsible by balancing work and school with social life. Along with priorities come humility and life lessons. Through this experience, the student will eventually grow very humble about themselves and their successes. Any arrogance that a student might have will most likely be worked away through these challenging endeavors. It would also teach and prepare the student for what is to come in the work-force and the real world; paying bills with money they worked hard for. Overall this experience will leave the student with so much more than simply the knowledge extracted from the classes.
A student who has free or reduced tuition, however, will more than likely have a character that completely contradicts that of someone who works to pay their tuition.
