Modern-Day Terrorism

There are many global problems occurring in the present day. The one problem that stands out from the rest is terrorism. Terrorism is a worldwide concern so immense that everybody should be aware of it. Terrorism can be domestic or international, it has no boundaries. An act of terrorism could strike at any time, the atrocious aspect is that innocent people are losing their lives every day. There are many forms of terrorism in the world that are practiced. There is one type of terrorism that stands out from the rest in my eyes. That type of terrorism is suicidal terrorism. Suicidal terrorism is when someone commits a horrible sequence of deadly events, taking other people's lives, including their own. September 11th nineteen terrorist pilots hijacked planes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City. Another hijacked plane crashed into an open field in Shanks Ville, Pennsylvania and took the lives of forty innocent passengers. With the forth plane, crashing into the Pentagon and killing 184 people. These men committed horrible acts that changed the way Americans live today. These nineteen terrorists performed and act of suicidal terrorism. .
A solution that is appropriate to solve this problem would be to have the lead officials from each country or assembly sit down and communicate. They could work out problems and agree on negotiations. For sure, some compromises would have to be made, but the final result would be a lifesaving outcome. In the end, this would be a better solution than starting another war and killing thousands of innocent people. Also to think of the kinds of nuclear weapons countries and terrorist groups obtain today is unimaginable. If these weapons were to be used it would be devastating for the innocent people. .
Since, September 11th, the United Sates government has tightened up its security and takes terroristic attacks more seriously than ever. Since September 11th, there have been more than 225 individuals that have been linked to the al-Quaeda group.
