My Loving Mother

My mother is the one I respect more than anyone in this world; I love her more than life itself. When I needed a shoulder to cry on, she was the one that was always there. She was the one who picked up the phone when I was in need. She was the one person that helped me realize that I am important too. She is the most wonderful and loving mother a daughter like me could have. My mother has influenced me in many ways, she taught me the importance of family, the need for maturity and the ability to rise above negativity. These values distinguish who I have become as a mother.
Almost everybody knows that when we need something or someone, we go to our family first. Usually our family tries to help and be there for us when we are in need. It could be a babysitter, borrowing something, or needing somewhere to stay. I remember when we were little, my mother would always take in a family member who needed a place to stay, food or even clothes. I find myself doing the same things for my siblings. I babysit for my brother and sisters when needed. When my sister needs groceries or clothes I either give it to her or buy it for her. Our family is always there when we celebrate a birthday, wedding or any kind of get together, which makes it more fun and memorable. We may have our disagreements and different paths about life, but family is family. My mother always said family makes us stronger and that we need to be there for each other no matter what the situation may be.
When I told my mom I was pregnant, the first thing she said was "Are you ready?" When I asked her what she really meant, she told me that when I have my baby, my life will then be all about taking care of my child on my own. By looking at the young people around me I see what my mother meant about raising my own child. There are many kids that have babies and abandon them and leave them with their grandparents. She also told me I won't get to chill with my friends, party, go places on my own or be able to buy the nice things I want for myself.
