Marijuana Issues in Colorado

I live in Pueblo County and just within the last few months three dispensaries have all been opened all within a mile or less than each other. Even though I see this as being to many in such a small area, maybe the state is trying to open more dispensaries to try and reduce the use and sale of marijuana illegally. One dispensary is in the process of being built still but it has taken over Giodone's Ice Cream which is also the same location where Bands in the Backyard takes place, which I see as being a problem. Bands in the Backyard is a outdoor Country music festival which has only been in Pueblo for two years and has really grown within that little time, many young children and teens attend this festival and if they are going to be selling legal marijuana there I think it will become to much and many people will be able to access it illegally due to lack of security and I also think that once people find out about this it will take a negative affect on the festival and instead of bringing a good group of people and money to the festival it will turn negative. This also may be an issue with the types of people who preform at the concert because they have brought big name country artist and if they see that marijuana is going to be apart of the venues this may become a proble. According to Strescino,Peter "On a Roll? First year of Legal weed in Pueblo" Pueblo Chieftain, 7 Feb. 2015. Web. 22 Feb. 2015. marijuana business only looks to rise. Since the use of legal marijuana doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon we have to see the positive side of it. .
Marijuana is already a problem with children. He also states in his article that there has been a rise in weed related problems in schools. This obviously goes to show just how easy it is for anyone to access if children who are underage and not supposed to have possession of it are able to access it. This is not only a problem in our city but as well as state wide.
