There was a competing for water between farmers and Cola-cola Company in a rural place in India called Plachimada. Before the company was established in Plachimada, there was a lot of rainfall and the land was thriving for farmers to grow plants that enriched their life. But with the presence of this Cola Company after two years, everything dramatically changed. The company drilled a deep swell to extract groundwater and transferring it to the factory for making soft drink. Thus, resulted in polluting the water that farmers depend on for years and affecting their crops could not grow normally, wells contained not much water and when it is used for cooking rice, the rice changed colour to brown and have bad taste. Else, the villagers got problem with their skin when they use the water for bathing and drink, hair loss, severe joints, fragile bones, as well as having problems with nerve system. Therefore, this bad situation forced the community to collect water from far places in order to keep them healthy (Hesperian Foundation). On the other hand, industrial activity such as mining has bad effect on water. In example, few 23 thousands deserted mines have contaminated 2.300 Km of rivers water in the Colorado, United States (Banks, et al. 1997). This issue has big impact on economy because the government will actually spend some million of money to eradicate the contamination. .
