There is neither discussion nor evaluation of the stated ideas to be made. Therefore Brainstorming uses creative thinking and is a reasonable method to use for such an experiment. .
Hypothesis.
A creative Task has a more efficient outcome if it will be solved in a group rather than individually. If solved individually, the individual has more creative thoughts in a five minutes time limit rather than in a 20 minutes time limit.
The idea for this hypothesis has been mainly produced through further reading as it is mentioned in Lord; "Professionals and other groups believe that they can generate a much larger number of creative ideas than they might if they worked on the same problem." On the website www.zeitzuleben.de it is stated as a fact that groups produce more ideas in Brainstorming than individuals with the reason that different people generate simple more ideas.
Preparation of the Experiment .
Firstly I have thought of three tasks for the Brainstorming:.
Task 1 - Think of as many things as you can do with a paperclip!.
Task 2 - Think of as many things you can find on the street!.
Task 3 - Think of as many things that can wake you up in the morning!.
For these three tasks according to me it is essential to use at least three groups in order to treat every task the same way. Every group has 20 minutes time to solve the task involving that the groups consists of four members. After this I planned using the same participants for the individual tasks. One consists of 20 minutes and the other one of 5 minutes. .
Experiment set up:.
Group A Task 1 a 20 min Group B Task 2 a 20 min Group C Task 3 a 20 min.
Person 1 Task 2 a 20 min Person 1 Task 3 a 20 min Person 1 Task 1 a 20 min.
Person 2 Task 2 a 20 min Person 2 Task 3 a 20 min Person 2 Task 1 a 20 min.
Person 3 Task 2 a 20 min Person 3 Task 3 a 20 min Person 3 Task 1 a 20 min.
Person 4 Task 2 a 20 min Person 4 Task 3 a 20 min Person 4 Task 1 a 20 min.
