First Date

When I was a little girl, I had always dreamed of how perfect my first date would be. I knew exactly what kind of clothes I would wear, and what kind of food I would eat. I would get my nails done and makeup done at the salon and have my older sister do my hair. I wanted to do something fun like miniature golf, go-carts or a movie. One day I was thinking about all this got kind of scared that my date was not going to be the fairy tail that I always wanted.
When I was young, my friends and I would always play in my sister's makeup bag. Then we got her nail polish and painted each other's fingers and toes. We would put it one each other and pretend we were the prettiest girls in the world. We always went through her closet to find some cute outfits or some kind of high heel shoes to try on. We would walk through my hallway and act like we were modeling for famous brands.
My sister is my best friend; I have looked up to her all my life. We have five years between us so she is a little older. I would always watch her gets ready to go out with her friends, or when she had a date. She would always have some cute hair do and put makeup on that I had never seen before. She would use some pencil and draw over her eye, I always wondered what she was doing. My mom would always tell her what time to be home and to not forget to turn off the porch light. I just couldn't wait till my first date.
When I was invited to be a flower girl in my cousin's wedding I was so excited because I knew I would get to dress up/ I had to be fitted for this pretty green dress with flowers on it. They even gave all the flower girls matching necklaces to wear. I got to go shopping for new shoes and tights. There was a rehearsal for the wedding party so we knew what to do when we walked down the aisle. When the day of the wedding came my mom put some blush and lipstick on me; I felt like someone special. By the end of the night, I was exhausted from all the dancing and excitement.
