Most Carolina Wolf Spiders live in the big fields in South Carolina.              Baby spider lings eat small fruit flies, white flies and larvae. Adult wolf spiders eat larger insects such as crickets and other spiders. They are great hunters who spend a lot of time searching for food during their active months of March through October.
Some of the interesting facts about the wolf spider are they use vibrations in the ground to hunt for insects. Carolina wolf spiders have bright green eyes that can be seen at night when they cross the roads. The female spider spins an egg sac but neither the male or female spins a web.
There are more than 3000 kinds of spiders and the Carolina wolf spider is one of the biggest. I learned a lot about the wolf spider and how to write a good report. I hope you enjoyed learning about this spider.
