HAMLET

In the Shakespearean play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare it speaks about how King Hamlet was murdered by his brother Claudius. Less than a month after his death his brother Claudius married his wife Queen Gertrude. King Hamlet's son Hamlet is extremely displease that his mother Gertrude remarried and also that she remarried with his uncle. The ghost of King Hamlet comes and tells Hamlet that he has to acquire retribution and kill King Claudius. To me in this play I consider that Hamlet is the hero and that King Claudius is the villain. This is for the truth that King Claudius killed his own brother to marry his wife. In the play Hamlet's foremost objective is to acquire retribution against his uncle King Claudius. Hamlet feels that it is mortification that his mother remarried not even a month after his father's death. .
Hamlet is considered the hero for the reason that he is situated to gain revenge against his uncle King Claudius. Even though I judge that Hamlet does have his faults in the play at the end he is considered the hero. One of these faults is when he repeatedly insults Ophelia who is Polonius daughter. He verbally abuses her by telling her that she is misguided for the reason that he was never in love with her and that she is a hoer. He told Ophelia that she was a hypocrite when he tells her "God hath given you one face and you make yourselves another" (3.1.155-154). Hamlet continuously puts her down and treats her like nonsense. Also an additional fault that Hamlet has is that he kind of rubs it in too much to his mother Queen Gertrude that she remarried not even a month after his father's death. Also he tells her in her face that Queen Gertrude went from a grand man of honor that is King Hamlet to trash and disgrace that is King Claudius his uncle. Even though it was a blunder killing Polonius, Hamlet does take it as a joke when he says, " the body is with the King, but the king is not with the body" (4.
