My most vivid telling

As a young man I traveled all around the U. in one of the more widely used modes of transportation of that fanciful era my feet and hands. I explored America with my thumb you could say. All in all I can look back at it today and honestly say that those experiences were by far some of the most amazing, wonderful and enlightening experience's I will ever have in my lifetime. While I still strive to create more images like those today still, the times that I have stood and walked on America's highways by and far have been the best times for me. The old adage of scenic highways and byways is no paradox folks.
One of the most vivid memories for me is the images of Arizona. Its landscape varies so intensely from one place to another that it's hard to absorb all your eye is taking in and keep your breath. In the extreme north there are gray domes of gray clay or shale. Here not much grows outside of sheet grass and sage brush. The Indians own all the land. In the middle of the state are the mountains that are so tall and green in contrast to the flat lands just below. The trees are mostly the long needle pines but there is scrub oak and many aspen too. You get to the southern part of the state you"ll locate the cactus that this state is known for. The cacti that are most associated with this part of the state are probably the saguaro, called the grandfather by locals. You"ll also see the prickly pear and aloe all over but, the saguaro is what we see in most movies and television when we see the desert shown in the shows we watch. The mountains have a beauty all their own, the colors are spectacular. Shades of red, orange yellow, brown gray and pink are swirled together to make a stunning image in your mind that breath taking doesn't justify the experience. You can travel the desert for mile on end and see nothing, when almost magically from the swirling sands huge sandstone formations materialize as if magically sucked from the earth.
