Physical Therapy

.
The physical therapy evaluation is broken down into four sections the first one is when an interview is given to understand the patient's history and current condition. The next section would be where the therapist and the patient work together to find out the patients to do certain things. Next the therapist comes up with a treatment and make up a simple exercise program where patients can do at home until their further visits. The last step is for the pt to educate the patient about their condition. If the patient understands his condition and follows along with the workout plan then that leads to success and prevents future relapse (Kinages 1).
In recent times the profession of pt is being labeled as the "career of the future" because of the way age is increasing in different settings. Some work indoors using equipment to work with patients. They can work in schools, nursing homes, hospitals, rehab centers, private owned practices and the armed forces. In this field it's easy to get a position. Depending on the setting the therapist might only see one type of aliment of a huge group a day. Orthopedic problems are very common because of arthritis fractures sprains, tendonitis and low back or neck disorders (Kinages 3).
Treatment is not done only by the physical therapists or physical therapists assistants, but by a panel of many health professionals. Physical therapists will organize treatment plans with doctors, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists just to name a few. With so many people working to help the patient out, it brings the patient to achieve thier goals and individual treatment comes out quickly and effectively.
Physical therapy employment is anticipated to grow faster than the normal for all occupations through 2012. The impact of future Federal legislation imposing limits on payment for therapy services may harmfully affect the short-term job outlook for physical therapists.
