Often in Selena's life, when both good and bad things occurred, Selena turned to her parents for comfort or to share her joy. For instance, while riding in the bus, the very home they live out of months at a time, she lays in her moms lap and Selena admits, "we have been working for this since we were little kids. Are they going to love me mamma". Another time, as she goes on stage to accept her first grammy, her acceptance speech is .
