Transit

I would like to write about my transition from elementary to high school. Being a teenager is very difficult not only because we go through puberty, but also that so much responsibility is put on us so suddenly. It's like one minute we are in grade 8 having fun not doing our homework and basically having a good time and enjoying our last year of elementary anticipating the beginning of the next 4 years of high school. Then as soon as you get into grade 9 you see that everything is different. You can't be your old self, you have to make changes in your lifestyle because if you don't then you will fail the class and unlike in elementary school you will have to repeat it next year. For me personally adapting to this change of responsibility was very difficult. I would not care about my grades and only thought one thing which was to have fun and going to class was just an obstacle in the way of me having fun. So basically I just went through class waiting for lunch time so I can chill with my friends and then waiting for school to end so I can chill with my friends some more. I never had time for doing homework because I was always outside, I never did any assignments or even projects, to me school was a game. Unlike many students I learned my lesson the hard way by failing many classes in my freshman year. Then finally I realized high school was not a game and if I don't study and pay attention I will not be able to graduate. After my experience I made a goal to pass every one of my classes so I can graduate and hopefully my goal becomes a reality.
