The medication that is prescription only is usually pricey, such as Allegra or Claratin that are in pill form. There are also nasal sprays available by prescription, such as Nasonex or Flonase. Injections are also a form of treatment. Some have to receive treatments a couple of times a week to once a month. For some, injections may be enough. Yet, there is a large number of patients who have tried all of the above and there symptoms and reactions haven't changed. .

As things have modernized, it seems that our human immune system has ran out of things to do" (Shute 48). If this were true, almost half of everyone living in our civilization would be allergic .
