Romeo and Juliet

In scene 1, Romeo is acting very strange and is in love with a girl called Rosaline, but she doesn't love him back that's why Romeo is feeling sad and depressed. Romeo uses oxymoron and lots of romantic language.
"O brawling love o loving hate" "A right good mark-man! And she's the fair I love".
In Benvolio's conversation with Montague, they are talking about Romeo's strange behaviour. Montague asks Benvolio who started the fight between the Montagues and the Capulets in the beginning of the play. He also asks if Benvolio was there when it began.
"Who set this ancient quarrel new abroach? Speak nephew, were you by when it began".
Benvolio then describes what he saw while the fight was going on. He says that he came to stop the fight.
"Ere I did approach: I drew to part them".
Benvolio also uses lots of descriptive language when he talks about how Tybalt came in the fight.
"The fiery Tybalt, with, with his sword prepared, which, as he beath"d defiance to my ears, he swung about his head and cut the winds".
When Benvolio comes to talk to Romeo, he is acting very strange bcause he is in love with Rosaline. Romeo also talks about how love hurts him.
"Is love a tender thing? It is too rough".
Romeo's love for Rosaline is painful to him because Roslaine doesn't love him back.
"This love that hast shown doth add more grief to too much of mine own".
I think that the love is real for Rosaline because Romeo is persuaded by Mercutio and Benvolio to go to the Capulet's party. Romeo agrees to go to the party because he is told that his love Rosaline will be there.
"You are a lover, borrow cupids wings.
"Nay, gentle Romeo, we must have you dance". They are telling him to go to the party.
I think Mercutio's view to love is something that influence Romeo. (As you can see Act one scene five plays an important role in the way it influences the audience and readers feelings, giving them a better knowledge and understanding towards the play and what it is really about.
