Keep Your Laws Off My Body, Pro-choice vs. Pro-life

We live in a society that is founded upon the belief in inalienable rights. These rights are ours as long as they do not infringe upon the rights of others. Freedom of choice is one of those inalienable rights, so keep your laws off my body.
Our society has determined that murder is an infringement on another's inalienable rights so it supersedes our right to choose to kill. Pro-life activists believe abortion is murder and since an unborn baby can not speak for themselves they must take up the cause. Pro-choice activists believe that women should be allowed to do with their bodies as they wish.
Before this debate can continue, abortion must be defined. Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines abortion as: the termination of pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus a: spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first twelve weeks of gestation.
What makes pro-life activists judge that abortion is murder? First of all, abortion is the "termination of pregnancy". Stopping the women's pregnancy means to destroy the embryo or the fetus. To the anti-abortionists, this is the same as slaughtering a baby. They believe the fetus is a separate life force. The problem with this argument is when do we call a fetus a person? From the religious perspective, a baby is already a person from the start of the conception. There are others who oppose abortion that believe a fetus is a person when their central nervous system is developed. This is because when the central nervous system is intact, a baby will feel extreme pain when abortion takes place. Some advocates of abortion disagree with the religious viewpoint, and point out that not all religions even agree with this assumption. Pro-choice people will also point out that, the freedom of religious choice, is also an inalienable right and cannot be imposed on someone else. The matter of when a fetus feels pain is also debatable since brain structure and nerve-cell connection that characterize the thinking and feeling part of the brain will not develop until the seventh or the eighth month of pregnancy.
