utopia

The same is true with Utopias. A Utopia is only a reflection if it does not exist in the deepest recesses of the human heart, in man's very spirit. The essence of mankind is his own unique humanity, his individual grasp on the world and the way he sees it. Even the Eastern religions heralded this as the spark of humanity, even though they tried to extinguish it. Socialists, materialists, and democracies attempt to do the same "to extinguish the self "even though their methodology is completely different. Their take on the vision at hand is individualistic in the first place "but this fact never dawns on them, and they struggle unceasingly with the self.
Since the begging of mankind we have searched for the answers to what life really is, and means. Many have thought that there, is no matter what, the answers to these questions inside every one. Utopia is a state of mind, a higher level of being, in which man finds what he is looking for. This thing that he finds must be mental in nature. One may not learn this state of mind form anyone else.
These separate civilizations or utopias are an attempt to change the way history has impacted the very way many of us conduct are lives today. The idea behind such a sanctuary, if you will, is to form and maintain a society where alike people may live together while trying to achieve a common goal. As you can imagine this would take absolute commitment to perfection by everyone within the group to produce such an environment. .
There have been many attempts to form such a society but there have been an extremely close number of failed ones as well. For one reason or another they never seem to workout quite as the inhabitants had planned. Whether it ne as simple as not working out a chain of command, or not having a process to select a predecessor to the position of the leader. Regardless they rarely and I mean rarely seem to succeed.
