            The American way of life provides endless opportunities for those who are well educated and prepared to work hard. In turn, the individual who benefits from participation in the system has a moral obligation to contribute to the general well being. On order to be a successful, useful member of society I plan to pursuer a career business. In today's economy a good education will prepare me with the knowledge, personal growth and ethical values that will enable me to be a valuable, member on the community. As a first point, knowledge is the that opens the door of success. This holds true in all fields but especially so in business. An understanding of accounting, marketing, investment and economics is the required foundation for a business person in the new millennium. In order to compete in the job market and move up the career ladder a person must understanding and use the latest business techniques. The global economy places added responsibility on the individual who seeks a business related career. .
             As a second point, a university level education will give me a great deal more that knowledge. The university is a place filled with bright, motivated people. The activities and discussions that take place outside of class will provide me with challenging ideas and new views. The sharing of personal experiences, hopes and dreams will make me a well-rounded person. this will enable me to move comfortably in the various circles that make up a modern life. My background as a newcomer to this country from Viet Nam will enable me to contribute to the schools cultural climate.
             As a third point, a university education prepares the student to make ethical and moral choices in life. The university is a forum where important topics are discussed. For example the recent terrorist attack is something that will be examined inside of and out of the classroom. These discussions would take in issues such as United State foreign policy, racism and our civil rights.
