Everything they are, and will be is based on the needs of society and ultimately the government. A example of technology shaping our lives is television an the media. We are subjected to advertisements, celebrities, trends all shaped by the media leaves us as a society very little choice on whom we are. TV desensitizes us to believe things are ok or that the government it protecting us from the enemy or that treating people one way is ok. It dictates to us what's ok to be and what's not ok to be at what time. Everyone tries to find themselves but yet they are just trying to be the minority. The only difference in the Brave New World is that It takes it to a extreme they take away that little choice an start from birth so you never can consider what you want to be. .
