Muslims in North America are highly educated and they have added to the culturally diverse region.
             Hinduism is not strictly a religion. It is based on the practice of Dharma, the code of life. Hinduism is founded on the existence of a single God manifest in hundreds of forms. It is among the most ancient religions, dating back more than 5,000 years. The Hindu culture is a culture of love, respect, honoring others and humbling one's own ego so that the inner nature, which is naturally pure and modest, will shine forth. There are countless ways the Hindu attitudes of compassion, respect, and self- effacement are expressed. Hindu religious beliefs influence attire, celebrations, customs, diets, places of worship, and other aspects of life The Hindu people incorporate all their beliefs into their daily lifestyle.
             Sikhism is a religion of India, the practice of which involves strict adherence to certain principles and practices. Sikhism combines aspects of Islam and Hinduism but rejects the caste system. Sikhism is mainly found in Punjab. Its influence is greater than their numbers because they specialize in military and police careers. Many of the beliefs of Sikhism are the result of meshed Hindu and Islamic beliefs. For example, the Sikh practice purdah, or female seclusion, similar to the practices of the people of the Hindu and Muslim cultures. .
             In India, many religions are found that profoundly affect the culture. For example, Sathya Sai Baba is a religious leader who also tries to unify several religions. His predecessor was Shirdi Sai Baba. The faith is based in India but extends over the world. Jainism also originated in India. Zoroastrianism arose in Persia and is now practiced in India as well.
             Christianity is also important because Christianity has been the basis of many political and economical systems throughout the world and throughout history. For example, the United States government is based on the saying "in God we trust".
