College App Essay

Although I am seventeen and not near the age of full adulthood, I enjoy and am expected to have a well-thought out idea of the accomplishments I hope for in life. Because we are not to worry about tomorrow but live for today, I trust that God will do His will in my life. However, I do have goals of becoming a Christian counselor, becoming a godly wife and mother that will bring glory to God, and growing stronger in my faith in God.
One thing I hope to accomplish in life is to see my self in upcoming years attending college and obtaining a career that is well worth while and gratifying. My dream career is to be a Christian counselor for girls that have been sexually abused and/or are struggling with eating disorders. I feel that this would serve to help girls grow more spiritually mature in Christ, and ultimately edify my self in Christ.
Another aspect of life that I hope to accomplish, which is most likely not only my own personal wish is to get married and start a family. I believe that children are to a marriage as flowers are to a garden. A garden without flowers is without joy and beauty. Although it is not a goal of high standards and great honor, it is a part of the whole for the "ultimate goal" that I hope to achieve in my lifetime. .
What I hope to ultimately accomplish in life is far from gaining the most amount of money or being the most famous of all people. My true desire for my future is to grow spiritually in my walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ. With this accomplished, I can do all things I desire with the strength He gives me. I believe that if I desire to glorify God in all I do and submit my whole self and will to God's Will, He will, in the end, honor and reward me as a child of His own. The more I grow in Christ, the more joy I receive which is a goal which, whether people admit it or not. Everyone desires. .
Eventhough my hope and goal in life is not to accomplish wealth and status, I do feel that my wish of growing more spiritually in Christ Jesus, becoming a wife, and mother, and enjoying the career of being a Christian counselor will, in whole, produce more honor and gratification.
