Abortion

The controversial social issue that I choose to research is abortion. This is a very broad topic and many people have and will do all types of researches on it. There has been many studies done on this topic and I will review a few of the studies throughout my paper. I will view the main ethical issues of abortion, prochoice views, prolife views, and I will also mention the public views. Many people have many opposing opinions about this topic but everyone is entitled to their own opinion so that is just a part of life. Abortion and the destruction of unwanted children was acceptable back in the day, but as our civilization has aged, it seems that these acts are no longer acceptable by our society. In 1948, Canada along with most other nations in the world signed a declaration of the United Nations promising every human being the right to life. The situation in the United States is that the issue will never go way and that the two sides of abortion remain totally polarized. There does not seem to be a middle ground and no chance for finding the middle ground. When I say middle ground I mean that there is no cooperation and there is no compromise. I believe that every human being has a right to life but this declaration has been thrown out of proportion by most of the world. When people have opposing opinions, they need to accept what the other person believes and leave it alone still believing what they want to. .
A human being who carries genes in its cells that makes it uniquely different from any other human being and yet, definitely a member, of the great human family. All the fetus needs to grow into a baby, a child, and then an old man, is time, nutrition and a suitable environment. It is determined at that very moment of conception whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, which of his parents he will look like, and what blood type he will have. His whole life is already fixed. He is just ready to be brought into this wonderful world.
